Getting to know you…

Sorry for the ear worm; I couldn’t help myself. LOL! I have this really cool website, which I do very little with, so I decided to play a bit. Let’s get to know each other! (Yes, feel free to comment, I’m not talking to myself this time. LOL!)

So yes, I’m a published author with seven books currently on the market. I have a very rich life in my imagination, real life, not so much. LOL! But I suspect that’s the way with plenty of us. I write fantasy fiction, romantasy, paranormal mystery, sword & sorcery adventure and there’s probably some other terms that apply to the worlds and characters I create. I have a confession to make, by the way…I don’t write to sell books. I write because I love the art and the practice. I love the artistry of crafting a story that transports the reader into worlds of magick, mysteries, and characters they can fall in love (or hate) with. I don’t ‘write to market’ and my goal is not to rake in loads of money or reach a best-seller’s list. I just hope to reach like-minded people, readers who appreciate disappearing into a story the way I do myself.

I grew up reading fiction, discovering Stephen King’s ‘Salem’s Lot and then ‘Carrie’, fairly early on, and that eventually tiptoed me into fantasy. A teacher loaned me her copy of Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” and “Lord of the Rings” in high school and I was so hooked! I wanted desperately to saddle a horse, or pony, sling my belongings across its rump, don a cloak, and ride off across the fields to adventures beyond imagining. Alas, I was never fortunate enough to experience that in this lifetime, but my imagination expanded, colored richly, and let me enjoy what reality denied me. LOL! I wrote Falcon’s Flight and Falcon’s Dream as homage to Tolkien and the amazingly limitless worlds he opened up for me.

The 21st Century Vampire series came about simply because…I wanted to share some good, old-fashioned, escapist fun. It’s a little spicy, has some rather, erm, well…racy scenes, but they’re vampires so they’re not held to our standards of decent behavior. (Think about it, if you lived for hundreds of years would you be worried about some passing but intensely intimate dalliances? Don’t worry, I don’t expect an answer. LOL!)

If you’re interested, I thought I MIGHT invite my characters to share some of their insights and thoughts here on this platform. Who knows? Catherine Alexander-Blair du Montjean might pop in for a little sweet tea and spicy talk. Or Falcon and Abra might rush through, swords drawn, and have a brief moment to share what’s happening in their world. If she’s in the mood, even Timber Gray may pop in between classes to update everyone on how things are going in Lincoln, Indiana.

Rest assured, I won’t be flooding your email boxes. Just thought it might be nice to be in touch. Please, feel free to comment, introduce yourself, share a smidgen if you’re so inclined.

Bright blessings,

T.S. Mos

Discover Cat’s Magick: The Latest in Vampire Fiction

OMG! I forgot to post the link and that Cat’s Magick IS actually published and available in paperback and eBook. Audiobook will be forthcoming. I made the mistake of gifting my ‘usual’ reviewing readers with a copy and consequently poor Cat’s Magick has yet to have a single review. (Honestly, it’s NOT that bad! LOL!) Anyway, the fourth novel in the 21st Century Vampire series is out and ready to be taken for a spin. Get in, hit Start, press down on the accelerator and hold on. Enjoy!!!

  • Review: Cat’s Tale by T.S. Mos

    Rating:5/5

    Review:

👉Cat’s Tale by T.S. Mos is an electrifying first book in the 21st Century Vampire series, blending dark fantasy, intense romance, and a fierce, independent heroine into one compelling story. From the very first page, this book grabs you and doesn’t let go.

👉Catherine Alexander-Blair, or Cat, is a strong-willed Celtic fiddler who finds herself in a life-threatening situation after an attack leaves her waking up in a dungeon, bound and terrified. What she discovers is far from ordinary: her captor is a mysterious, silver-haired vampire who claims to have saved her. But is he really a savior, or something more dangerous? As their tense and complicated relationship unfolds, Cat finds herself torn between defying him and a growing attraction that could be her undoing.

👉The chemistry between Cat and her captor is electric and filled with tension, making every interaction between them thrilling. But it’s not just the romance that pulls you in—it’s the deep emotional and psychological struggles both characters face. Cat’s strength and independence are inspiring, and she doesn’t let anyone, even an ancient vampire, control her. But as her own magical abilities start to emerge, she must learn to navigate this new part of herself while facing the dangers around her.

👉The world-building in Cat’s Tale is rich and immersive. T.S. Mos has created a dark, gothic atmosphere filled with mystery and suspense, keeping readers on the edge of their seats. As the plot unfolds, the secrets surrounding Cat’s captor, her newfound powers, and her fate slowly come to light, making for a story that’s impossible to put down.

👉This book is a fantastic blend of fantasy, romance, and action, with a strong, relatable heroine who doesn’t back down, no matter the odds. If you’re a fan of paranormal romance with a strong female lead, sizzling chemistry, and a world full of twists and turns, Cat’s Tale is definitely one to add to your reading list!

    Happy reading 😁

Introductions part 2

Before I get distracted (oh, look! There’s a bunny!) or forget…I’d like to introduce you to Falcon, born Peregrine, Rose.

Falcon’s the fifteen year old daughter of the captain of the king’s guard. Idolizing her brave and noble father, she wants more than anything in the world to be just like him. She’s not interested in being a wife or mother when she grows up, though she loves and cherishes her own mother, a talented, generous wise woman. Falcon dreams of wielding her own sword in service to the king, just like her father.

Ripped from a life of comfort and security by the murder of her parents, she takes to the road on her father’s magnificent mare, his blood-stained blade wrapped carefully in her bedroll. With tears streaming down her face and a fire for revenge smoldering in her breast, she sets out on an adventure that will propel her to a destiny greater than anything she could ever imagine.

Bright, clever, determined, and courageous, Falcon Rose has the heart of a warrior, despite her youth. When she’s taken in by a kindly and powerful elemental wizard, her life becomes an adventure rife with magic and challenge. Can she honor her father’s legacy, rescue the rightful heir to the throne, and save the kingdom or will her thirst for justice turn her heart to stone?

Falcon’s Flight is the first epic sword & sorcery adventure in the exciting Falcon Rose Saga.

More introductions to come.

Introductions

I’m T.S. Mos and I write novels. There, I said it and I’m not taking it back.

That being said, I don’t write in just one genre, unless it would be beneath the very BROAD term ‘fantasy’. (Yes, well, I didn’t think THAT one out very well. LOL!)

I currently have two series and one stand-alone on the market, and yes, there will be additions made.

My first born, the 21st Century Vampire series, is a contemporary paranormal/urban vampire tale featuring the heroine, Catherine Alexander-Blair.

Cat’s a middle-aged Celtic fiddler playing in a rock band in Lake Charles, La. She’s spirited, feisty, extremely strong-willed and has a wicked sense of humor that gets her out of almost as much trouble as it gets her into. Cat’s no nun; she’s had her share of wild nights and has awakened in some unexpected situations, but when she wakes up strapped to a gurney in what looks like a dungeon her world’s turned upside down and inside out by the appearance of Sin, her rescuer who seems suspiciously like a captor.

Thrust mercilessly into an impossible world of vampires, witches, shape-shifters and more, Cat’s forced to rely on her common sense and her cheeky irreverence to deal with one very handsome, sexy, powerful immortal.

Captivating, intriguing, sometimes funny, Cat’s Tale, the first book in the series, takes you into her thoughts, her heart, and her fantastic foray into a world most of us can’t even imagine.

I’m going to leave this here for now, but I’ll be back to introduce you to the rest of my heroines and heroes, villains and monsters. Heck, I may even introduce myself, but probably not. LOL!

Holiday Promotion

In celebration of Christmas and the New Year, I’m offering a deal on the e-book version of “Falcon’s Flight” on Amazon. For a limited time, starting Christmas Day if I set things up correctly, you’ll be able to download the sword & sorcery action adventure for .99 then the price will increase incrementally until it returns to its regular low price of $4.99. So, if you like a tale of ancient kingdoms, noble warriors, elemental wizards and an unlikely hero, grab this deal before it’s gone. (AND if you have the time, please leave a review, even if it’s just a few words. We authors tend to live or die by the review.) Happy Holidays!

Inspiration or Distraction?

I know, I know, I ‘ve been dawdling, or was it something else?

I have manuscripts in progress. And I had great expectations to get at least one of them to my editor this year, but alas, I didn’t make it. Instead, I completed a course on Applied Astrology, which was certainly fascinating but not quite as satisfying as I’d hoped. Then I did a course on past life progressions, which was MUCH more captivating. LOL! It dawned on me after the fact that a lot of my writing is focused on shared lives or time shifting, which plays right into the PLR concept.

Want to know a secret? I progressed to a past life in Italy, roughly 1660 or so and discovered myself holding a specific Tarot card which I was able to track down in this lifetime. And yes, I did treat myself by purchasing the deck. (a recreation of a deck created by Giuseppe Mitelli) But, to get back to my point, it occurs to me that these distractions are indeed fodder for my writing, perhaps even inspiration to increase depth and color. I AM wrapping up the latest volume from my 21st Century Vampire series, tentatively now entitled Cat’s Wyrd, and it WILL reach my editor sometime in early 2025. I’ll update information here as time goes by. In the meantime…Happy Holidays and here’s to an awesome New Year!

A Thousand Apologies!

To quote Penny from the Big Bang Theory…Holy Crap on a Cracker! It’s obvious I’m not great at self-promotion, not very savvy with computer tech stuff, and yes, I tend to spend a whole lot of my time in worlds I create in my head. LOL! That being said, I’ve discovered I’ve been ‘enjoying’ a Progressed Moon in Pisces which has left me slug-like, wanting mostly to meditate or sleep, escape into other realms, basically tune in, turn on, drop out. (without benefit of Timothy Leary’s little friend. LOL!) Finally, my Progressed Moon is heading toward Aries and I’m already feeling the increased energy and desire to actually DO something. So, I have four manuscripts started, but I’m focusing on the fourth novel in the 21st Century Vampire series, tentatively titled “Cat’s Curse”, and when I need a break from vampires I’m off to “Mystified”, the sequel to “Mystaken”. I don’t know that I’ll ever be very good at this blog business or keeping my website clean and tidy (yes, the dust here was an inch thick) but I’m trying! I’m trying!
